Hikmet, ou melhor, a Sonra, e a instituição de sneakers sediada em Barcelona, a 24 Kilates, não são desconhecidos um do outro. Já no passado, os sneakerheads espanhóis tiveram a possibilidade de conseguir, através da sua loja de confiança, um dos sneakers Sonra, extremamente limitados. Agora, a marca alemã colabora com a loja. O resultado: o Proto Saffron."Just as the name suggests, this sneaker takes inspiration from the millenary spice found in various manifestations throughout the years. As one of the world’s most expensive spices by weight, Saffron was first cultivated around the Mediterranean area and then slowly propagated through Europe and Asia. This new project comes up as meeting point of two countries. Seemingly different in so many ways, Spain and Turkey are bonded by the Mediterranean, and hold special appreciation towards the gastronomic contribution of Saffron."
Claro que também o Saffron foi, como sempre, fabricado na Alemanha e pretende voltar a convencer os fãs pela sua excelente qualidade. "Focused on offering a shoe that is skin-friendly and non-irritating, these sneakers are made from vegetable tanned leather, some of the most environmentally and skin-friendly leather on the market. The Proto ‘Saffron’ presents a Fuchsia suede vamp, evoking saffron’s flower. Burgundy and Orange stripes run across the upper, and around the heel and collar. 3M detailing on the heel and vamp complement and highlight the colorway. Branded debossed logos can be found on the tongue, insole, and midsole of the shoe. The look is finished with a gum-colored outsole."
