Interview Latest Pick-Up – Davy James Andrew (collectionneur)

Davy James Andrew nous a marqués il y a des mois déjà, parce qu'il montrait encore et encore sur son profil Instagram @djamesandrew de rares sneakers Nike qui nous laissaient bouche bée. Parmi elles, des sneakers comme la Nike Air Max 1 x Patta "Cherrywood", quelques Lunar Flyknit HTM, la Nike Air Max 90 "Homegrown" ou d'autres modèles Nike rares. Pour nous, il était clair que nous devions interroger "djamesandrew" lui aussi sur son "Latest Pick-Up". Ce Néerlandais d'origine vit dans la petite ville de Boxtel et y travaille comme thérapeute du mouvement. Pendant son temps libre, il fait volontiers du sport et collectionne des sneakers. Sa passion de collectionneur a commencé en 2005 avec des Nike Dunk et des Air Jordan, avant qu'il ne découvre ensuite la Nike Air Max 1. Ses deux premières sneakers Air Max ont donc été directement deux pièces de haut vol, à savoir l'Air Max 1 "Skulls" et l' "Urawa Red Dragon". Davy James Andrew collectionne uniquement et sans exception des sneakers de Nike et ne fait ici aucun compromis. What's your latest purchase? My latest pick-up is the Nike Air Max 1 Jewel "Black Diamond". I like those pair a lot because of the transparent "big swoosh" outsole.

Your "All-Time" classic sneaker? Let me think. My all-time classic sneaker is the Nike Air Max 1 "BRS" Powerwall. This shoe, with his mixed colorway, is one of my top 5 sneakers for sure. I bought this shoe ten years ago and sold it three years later because I needed money for school. Two years later I regretted that I sold them. Luckily, I found another pair online and bought them again.

Which pair of sneaker will you be buying next? I'm not going to tell you this yet ?. I'm going to double up one of my holy grails! If you like to know which one it will be, make sure to follow me on Instagram.

What brand caught your attention lately? Swoosh life, Swoosh only! Nike is the only brand I wear, except for the ASICS X WOEI collabs.

How many shoes do you own? The number of shoes is not important to me. The story behind the shoe and the color/material combination is what matters most.

What style is a "no-go" for you? Wearing two different brands at one time. For example, when you wear adidas pants with Nike sneakers.
