Hikmet, ou plutôt Sonra, et l'institution sneakers barcelonaise 24 Kilates ne sont pas des inconnus l'un pour l'autre. Par le passé déjà, il était possible pour les sneakerheads espagnols de mettre la main sur l'une des sneakers Sonra strictement limitées via leur boutique de confiance. Voilà que la marque allemande travaille maintenant avec la boutique. Le résultat : la Proto Saffron."Just as the name suggests, this sneaker takes inspiration from the millenary spice found in various manifestations throughout the years. As one of the world’s most expensive spices by weight, Saffron was first cultivated around the Mediterranean area and then slowly propagated through Europe and Asia. This new project comes up as meeting point of two countries. Seemingly different in so many ways, Spain and Turkey are bonded by the Mediterranean, and hold special appreciation towards the gastronomic contribution of Saffron."
Naturellement, la Saffron a elle aussi été fabriquée comme d'habitude en Allemagne et veut de nouveau convaincre les fans par sa formidable qualité. "Focused on offering a shoe that is skin-friendly and non-irritating, these sneakers are made from vegetable tanned leather, some of the most environmentally and skin-friendly leather on the market. The Proto ‘Saffron’ presents a Fuchsia suede vamp, evoking saffron’s flower. Burgundy and Orange stripes run across the upper, and around the heel and collar. 3M detailing on the heel and vamp complement and highlight the colorway. Branded debossed logos can be found on the tongue, insole, and midsole of the shoe. The look is finished with a gum-colored outsole."
